- Exact connector model number and supplier.
- Pitch, pin count and mounting orientation.
- Whether the connector is supplied by the customer or sourced by the factory.
- Required packing method to protect the connector after assembly.

Gold finger and stiffener design
For plug-in FPC cables, gold finger thickness, bevel requirements and stiffener tolerance should be clear on the drawing. If the contact area is too close to the bend zone, the manufacturer may need to review reliability risk before accepting the layout.

Inspection and testing
A connector assembly quote should also define electrical test needs, visual inspection standard and any functional test fixture. For pilot runs, sharing a mating connector or test fixture information helps reduce uncertainty.
